Primm and Day 1 at Disneyland

Our first day we drove from Blanding to Primm Nevada. By the time we got there the kids were so ready to get out of the car and swim. We got a room at Whiskey Petes, we were told it had an awesome pool and the kids could not wait they could see it out the window of our room and it was hard to contain them. When they finally talked grandpa into going down with them they all jumped in and out came a guard that told them the nice heated pool that was all clean was closed because Nevada had just passed a law that the pool had to be handicap accessible in order for the pool to be open. Our kids were so sad! They could swim in the hot tub that was colder than the pool and wasn't handicap accessible but they could not swim in the pool. It's a good thing that the pool at our house in California was open. Our house in California was SUPER cute and decorated totally for Disneyland. Ave and Whit spent most of their time under the stairs that was painted like pixie hollow and had magnent paint on it with lots of toy fairies. We were close enough that we could just walk to Disneyland, we had to walk down magic way where a lot of stores are. We came upon the lego store and all the kids loved the stuff they had made out of legos....especially the dragon on top of the store. By 2:30 p.m. the boys were done with Disneyland and wanted to go back and swim. Summer was nice enough to take them home along with Grandpa and the girls stayed to go on a few rides and meet as many princesses as they could! Right when we got to Disneyland we met Alice in Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter. They were so dang funny! The Queen held her hand out for Jake to kiss but he wouldn't and that made her really mad! We had tons of fun though and there is still more fun to be had:)

Me and Steph figured we deserved to have one picture with Mickey! We did have to stand in all the dang lines too!

Ave and Whit wanted a balloon really bad but since they were $12 we just told them that a picture would last longer:)
