sick.....

so last night at midnight I had to take Jake to the doctor again. He had woken up the night before with a fever and had a runny nose and couldn't really breathe. I gave him some tylenol and we hung out on the couch for a couple of hours. Then yesterday he was just a pitiful mess but I just thought that it was just because of his fever....but boy was I wrong. Before I tell you the rest I will just give a little history of Jake. When he was 2 months old he was hospitalized because one night when he woke up for his midnight feeding he could not breathe he had croup it was pretty bad they gave him some x-rays and saw that his airway was closing off. We had to take him to the hospital and stay there for close to 2 days. Then a month and a half ago he got croup again luckily that time he didn't have to go to the hospital but it was still bad. Lastnight when I got to the clinic we did chest x-rays and found out that Jake has bronchial pnemonia(sp?) so anyway he had to get a big fat shot of antibiotic and a big shot of steriods. My doctor thinks that Jake has the beginning stages of asthma and that is why if he gets a little cold it always turns into much much more so that pretty much sucks!! But hopefully he will grow out of it cause most kids do. But he is doing lots better today so we will just hope that his lungs can clear up!!
