more of australia

We were able to see a lot of Perth when we rentd bikes and rode around Swan River. It was lots of fun, and nice to be outside and see the city from a different perspective. I dropped my sunglasses into the river and so we rode to another couple missionaries apartment and borrowed a hanger and my dad went fishing. The swans on swan river are black  swans and they were really pretty!

This was my moms favorite building in Perth. It was on her bucket list to bike past it.

looking good!

It was Tricias birthday this day and this statue had a sign that said Happy Birthday Jeet, so we made Tricia pose with Happy birthday sign!

part of Perth!

another angle of Perth.
Fish and Chips!

Perth Temple.

This was the oldest jail in Australia. This is where they used to ship all the criminals from england and their job was to go out all day and build up Australia. They even used it as a jail until like 1993 and it had NO toilets or running water except for in the kitchen.

It was against the rules for the inmates to draw on walls but this inmate was so violent that they gave him paint and he would paint the walls. They would let him paint all the walls and then white wash them and then let him paint it again. He was a murderer and loved to target women. He is still alive and no longer in jail but he is under constant watch in the small town he lives in. Kind of scary if you ask me!

It might look familiar becasue it has been featured in some movies.
