Some of our parents friends gave us tickets to go and tour this little village of the native people. Some people still live there but a lot have had to move because the ground under their houses have broke open and sulfur is coming into them. This village is built on a geothermal area like yellowstone. The people built it because they had warm baths and some pools were warm enough to cook their food. It was an amazing experience! We ate the best lunch that they actually cooked the way they used to,in the geothermal pools. The kids had to learn early which pools they could touch and which ones wouldburn them, their homes don't have baths and they continue to have baths in the community baths every morning and night. They believe the water has many minerals that are good for the skin and body. They just have to have their baths before the tours start and after they end:)

| This is the tribes warrior face. They thought that if they stuck out their tongues and had buggy eyes then they were lots scarier. My dad thought he would try it out and I agree it does make him look scarier! |
